Public Attitudes for Genomic Policy — Blog Posts

Translates findings from the “Your DNA, Your Say” project and other studies of public attitudes into useful briefs and infographics

People around the world have different feelings about how researchers collect, use, and share genetic and health data. The Public Attitudes for Genomic Policy blog series aims to make findings from studies of public attitudes, such as the “Your DNA, Your Say” project, useful to policymakers, genomics researchers, and others. The GA4GH Regulatory & Ethics Work Stream (REWS) publishes the series.

Dive deeper into this product! The Public Attitudes for Genomic Policy blog series aims to translate findings from the “Your DNA, Your Say” initiative (YDYS) and other public attitudes studies into useful outputs for stakeholders, such as policymakers and other researchers. YDYS explores how people around the world feel about the collection, use, and sharing of genetic and health data for research. The blog series aims to explore the key topics of YDYS, such as dual trust and trustworthiness, return of results, and genetic exceptionalism, as well as develop further information on wider public attitudes and considerations relevant to each key topic. We are looking for members to write these briefs, and support the work of others.
