Join the next “Ask Me Anything” session featuring GA4GH Passports

30 Sep 2025

The GA4GH Implementation Forum (GIF) hosts “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) sessions focused on helping the community implement GA4GH products. GIF’s next session, featuring Passports, will take place on 30 October 2025 at 12:00 UTC.

Used when accessing datasets, Passports encode information about researchers and their dataset permissions. The AMA discussion will cover Passports along with related standards: visas for dataset authorisation, the Authorisation and Authentication Infrastructure (AAI) for secure identity and access management, and ongoing work toward Verifiable Credentials and Data Passports.

Designed as an interactive discussion, the AMA will allow current and prospective implementers to ask technical and practical questions, learn from real-world deployments, and explore solutions to common adoption challenges.
