Cat-VRS establishes a standard to enable search, analysis, and sharing across categorical properties of variant data. VA-Spec provides a model to explicitly express knowledge associated with a variant. Both products were developed by members of the Genomic Knowledge Standards (GKS) Work Stream to foster greater precision in the representation of genomic knowledge.
