The GA4GH Product Development and Approval Process is now open for comment

GA4GH has updated and streamlined its Product Development and Approval Process (PDAP). Notable highlights include:
- early reviews and checkpoints to integrate more feedback loops and prevent late-stage surprises;
- the introduction of risk tiers to tailor the depth of technical alignment, regulatory, security, and AI reviews for each product;
- a single living document that follows the product throughout its lifecycle;
- a streamlined consent model for product approval voting.
We invite the community to review and comment on the proposed process by 18 June 2026.
