Spanning six continents, the GA4GH community welcomes a diverse group of people and organisations.

A global community united under a common mission

The GA4GH community works together to create technical standards and policy frameworks and tools that expand responsible, voluntary, and secure use of genomic and health data. Organisations and individuals come from a variety of related backgrounds, including healthcare, research, patient advocacy, life science, and information technology.

Core Funders

Core Funders support the core activities of GA4GH and provide strategic guidance to GA4GH leadership.

Host Institutions

Host Institutions provide services and administrative support — such as space, grants management, and human resources — on behalf of GA4GH.

Organisational Members

More than 500 organisations across healthcare, research, advocacy, and beyond support our mission and vision.

Driver Projects

A subset of Organisational Members have committed resources to guiding GA4GH product development and piloting our tools.

Anyone working in genomics and related fields is invited to participate in our inclusive community by creating and using new products.

Assigned Experts

Funders and employers around the globe can assign an expert to work on GA4GH standards and policy development in their local setting.
